The history of the founding of JaLi
Back in 2004, when the two sisters were students at the University, they met a schoolmate who was passionate about painting and 3D cards. The first time the two girls saw the cards that he designed by hand, they were fascinated by their beauty. Immediately after that, the two girls started learning how to make 3D cards by hand. Their dream was to open their own 3D card and pop-up card production facility. They wanted to bring the cards beyond the Vietnam’s borders and introduce them to friends around the world.
After a few years, the older sister moved to Belgium with her husband where she continued to study accounting.
Two years later, the younger sister graduated. She decided to return to Hanoi and started working for a 3D card company. In the company she became an instructor for other employees.
After many years of working with a wealth of experience, in Septemper 2024 she decided to create her own path. Coincidentally, at this time, the older sister who is living in Brussels (Belgium) also expressed her business intention. After 20 years, the two girls decided to fulfill their unfinished dream of their twenties.
Nowadays, with the combination of modern technology and manual techniques, 3D cards have become more perfect and precise in every detail.

About Pop up cards FAQ
How do you make the cards?
The designs are made on paper as 2D, then our 3D Graphic designers create template on computer for laser cut. All pieces come out as flat and we assemble them by hands .
They are all interlocked (no glue used) and some designs require to be stitched to the cards.
What materials do you use?
High quality-long lasting Paper Stock from Italy. We use a low-intensity-heat laser cut machine so it does not burn the paper.
Is this Origami?
Not exactly, Origami is the Art of Paper Folding. This Pop-Up Card Art is based on Kirigami (the Art of Paper Cutting) combined with Laser Cut Technology.
Are the pop-up cards durable?

Do you do Custom Designs?
Yes, we do. This is perfect for Wedding, Newborn, Invitations…We can add text, logo, and other personalized details. Minimum order required for existing designs is 50 cards. Minimum order required for Brand New designs is 200 cards.
